The City Council of the City of Newcastle, Washington, will hold a special meeting Tuesday, May 12, 2020. The purpose of the meeting is to hold a study session to discuss a draft utility tax ordinance beginning at 6 p.m. Between 5 and 6 p.m., an executive session pursuant to RCW 40.30.110(1)(i) will be held to discuss one matter related to potential litigation and legal risk. Executive sessions are not open to the public.

No public comment will be taken at the study session and there will not be a final vote on the draft ordinance. For background, please read the May 5 City Council recap. You can view the May 12 meeting agenda packet here.

To comply with state and local public health provisions, the meeting will be held remotely by video conference. The public may attend by using the link below and may join the meeting by telephone without a computer or video-enabled device if wanted.
