Newcastle Days is the community's signature celebration, offering fun for all ages! Enjoy the Cars on the Green auto show, live entertainment, community booths, giant inflatables, craft beer garden, food vendors, and more.

Be a Food Vendor
The City of Newcastle is excited to welcome food vendors to our 2025 summer events at Lake Boren Park. To be considered for Newcastle Days, complete the Food Vendor Interest Form. The first round of reviews for July events begins May 15, 2025. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and early submission is encouraged. Please include a valid email address - this will be the main form of communication.

Host a Community Booth at Newcastle Days
Newcastle Days features a lively vendor fair. Local businesses, artists, nonprofits, and public agencies are invited to showcase products, share information, and connect with the community. To be considered, complete the Newcastle Days Booth Application. Completed forms are due no later than Friday, July 18. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants will be notified no later than August 1 with payment due August 15. Please include a valid email address - this will be the main form of communication.

Festival Information & Location

Each September, we gather at Lake Boren Park for Newcastle Days, the community's signature celebration, offering fun for all ages! This annual festival is packed with activities, food, games, and music, bringing neighbors together to celebrate. Held in September to honor Newcastle’s official cityhood in 1994, Newcastle Days is a time to reflect on our history, strengthen community bonds, and look forward to the future.

Directions & Parking

Directions to Lake Boren Park:
(13058 SE 84th Way, Newcastle)
Take Exit 9 off I405 and follow Coal Creek Parkway south into Newcastle. Pass the lake on your right and take a right at the traffic light at SE 84th Way.

Main Parking Lot:
ADA parking only
drop-off area available
performer/vendor load in/load out

Event Parking:
Follow signs to the public parking area adjacent to the park on the right.

Plan Ahead!
Parking gets filled quickly midday. Consider carpooling or alternative options, such as parking downtown and walking, or taking the #240 bus. If you must park on neighborhood streets, DO NOT BLOCK driveways or fire hydrants.

Parade & Opening Ceremonies

Nothing kicks off a festival better than a community parade! Enjoy the sights and sounds of local performers, school teams, and area Scouts, led by Newcastle's favorite bagpiper Neil Hubbard.

Stage Entertainment

One of the truly unique aspects of Newcastle Days is the main stage entertainment. The schedule is jam-packed with performances from local students and community members.

Activities

Get ready for a day packed with fun for all ages! Create colorful masterpieces with arts and crafts, dive into local history, and explore cool exhibits like robotics. Kids will love bouncing on giant inflatables, meeting furry friends at the petting zoo, and enjoying pony rides. Try your luck at carnival games, check out fire trucks and police vehicles, and stop by the historic cemetery open house for a peek into the past. It’s a day full of adventure, creativity, and community fun!

Cars on the Green Auto Show

Rev up your engines for an unforgettable day, where classic cruisers, muscle cars, and custom rides shine!

The show runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the awards ceremony taking place at 2:30 p.m.

Preregistration is FREE and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29 or when the show closes. Click HERE to preregister.

Enjoy the Craft Beer & Wine Garden hosted by The Greater Newcastle Chamber of Commerce and a delicious selection of food vendors from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

From supporting activities to assisting community booths, there are a variety of tasks and times available. Find your favorite and bring along a friend - or two!
