Councilmember Andy Jacobs

Andy Jacobs was elected to City Council in 2025. He and his wife planted roots in Newcastle in 1995, raised their three children, and now enjoy being grandparents. Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Denver and brings 45 years of business and leadership experience, including two decades in management at Costco, where he helped pioneer the $4.99 rotisserie chicken and managed the $1.50 hot dog program.

Andy is committed to strengthening community connections through inclusive and community‑centered leadership. He supports strong public safety, well‑maintained streets, and thoughtful growth that reflects the needs of residents. He champions local businesses and cultural events, and backs efforts that promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion so every community member feels seen and heard. His experience as a Jewish man has informed his understanding of inclusion and the importance of ensuring all voices are valued in Newcastle.

On Council, Andy focuses on policies and programs that enhance community engagement, advance safety and livability, and support a connected, inclusive, and thriving city for all.
