Join us for the unveiling of the Jim Price Memorial at Lake Boren Park. The ceremony will take place at the memorial site near the west (park side) entrance to the Lake Boren Boardwalk, followed by light refreshments and fellowship at the lower picnic shelter by the tennis courts.

Jim Price was instrumental in Newcastle's incorporation as a city. His civic contributions were wide-ranging and lasting; he helped found the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce and Newcastle Trails. He was also actively involved with the Newcastle Arts Council and the Newcastle Historical Society. At the time of his passing in 2018, he was serving as a Community Activities Commissioner.

This event is hosted by the Jim Price Memorial Committee, a collaboration of these organizations that Jim's dedication helped make possible.
