Newcastle Youth Community Engagement (NYCE) kicks off the 2020-21 school year on September 16 at 6 p.m. The youth organization, which helps teens develop leadership skills and make a difference in the Newcastle community, is moving its meetings online to begin the school year. Meetings will now be held the first and third Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. each month.

Led by advisers from the City of Newcastle and the Newcastle Library, teens will gain leadership skills and foster a culture of service. NYCE is open to Newcastle-area students in grades 7-12. Participating students can earn volunteer hours. To participate and receive a meeting link, please email [email protected]
