King County is prone to many hazards, and when one happens many services we rely on will be overwhelmed. It may be difficult for residents to travel or communicate. Residents need to be prepared to be self-sufficient during these times. Understanding of disaster skills is critical to being prepared.
This workshop will provide an overview on hazards and the certain skills needed after a disaster. We will cover topics related to: local hazards, utility control, water storage/purification, emergency sanitation, creating emergency plans and ways to make it through events that might disrupt your normal daily routine.
