Volunteering is a great way to have fun, give back, and learn more about your community. The City of Newcastle recognizes the importance of volunteerism and the significant role it plays in providing a richer quality of life for the Newcastle community. Newcastle has volunteer opportunities available for groups and individuals of diverse talents, ages, and interests.

As the summer season approaches, we’re looking for plenty of volunteers to help ensure our community events run smoothly! Explore the current volunteer needs below and contact Community Activities Commissioner Patti Magers at pattim@newcastlewa.gov to get involved!

NEWCASTLE DAYS
Newcastle Days (Sept. 6-7) is going to be bigger and better than ever as we celebrate the City's 25th anniversary! We still need six volunteers to make this community celebration spectacular.

- Tennis Court Games (6 volunteers needed): Help facilitate the new free carnival type games that will be held on the tennis courts. . Games include an inflatable axe throw, a basketball game with dual hoops, an inflatable football-throwing station and a baseball game that challenges you to hit the ball to certain spots. Volunteers will work in pairs to manage the lines and ensure everyone gets a chance to play the games. One shift (3-5 p.m.).

Newcastle Days volunteers will receive a special festival event staff T-shirt!
